‘Getting to Know You’
Strokes of brush or marks of pencil are my expression and tools to communicate with the world. They reside within me as my own unique gestures. Everything that exists in the world has its own unique gestures. I mean to discover these gestures as a process of 'getting to know', and also try to communicate through my own unique strokes and gestures.
Kopi came to me few years ago through a good friend. He was said to be bleeding from the nose when he was first rescued, hence ‘Kopi’ was his name which means ‘nose bleed’ in Korean. His story intrigued me strongly and I began searching for his unique gestures. These are my findings of Kopi as I put down my strokes everyday for a whole month, in trying to understand his past and current conditions: his happiness, sadness, fear, and curiosity.

'Love. Captured.'
Travels often leave me at a long distance from the familiarity. Sometimes, loved ones only dwell in hearts and memories. Not to despair! A new friendship forms and fills the void quite quickly. Even a simple encounter along the journey can make lasting memories and impressions. This is the way I know how to capture them.
